Gold jewellery stolen from house

TAMBARAM: Gold jewellery weighing 13 sovereigns was burgled from the house of a real estate businessman at Sholinganallur on Thursday.

The burglary came to light when the businessman returned in the evening.

A resident of Village High Road, Tirunavukkarasu and his family members had gone to a relative’s house in the same locality to attend a function.

When he returned later in the day, he noticed the doors and almirah broken open and the jewellery burgled. Thoraipakkam police are investigating.
