Executive of amusement park held

CHENNAI: The police on Wednesday night arrested the general manager of Queensland Amusement Park in connection with the drowning of an 11-year-old girl after two boats collided in a lake at the facility recently.

The police said following investigations, general manager K.M.J. Tamizhmani (52) was arrested on charges of negligence leading Anusha’s death. Investigation officer in the case Riyazuddin said that the accused was produced before a city court.

Following the incident, the Nazarathpet Police arrested seven persons, including the deputy general manager of the amusement park, located near Poonamallee. The police have also forwarded the investigation reports to the Kancheepuram Collector for further action.
