NEW DELHI: A quick 19-move draw with Peter Leko kept Viswanathan Anand in the joint third spot before Norwegian youngster Magnus Carlsen escaped to victory against local hope Loek van Wely and regained sole lead after 10 rounds of the Corus chess tournament at Wijk ann Zee, in Holland, on Wednesday. Anand shares the third spot with four others at 5.5 points. Three more rounds remain after Thursday’s rest day. In Group ‘B’, P. Hari Krishna (5.5) and K. Humpy (5) drew their games while in Group ‘C’, Parimarjan Negi scored his sixth victory in the last eight rounds to share the second spot with two others at 6.5 points.
