West Bengal lifts title

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: West Bengal lifted the title in both men’s and women’s sections respectively in the BSNL all-India aquatic meet at the Water Works Swimming pool here on Wednesday.

West Bengal logged 60 points to come first in the men’s section followed by host Kerala with 45 points. Salil Biswas (West Bengal) was the individual champion in men’s section with 32 points.

In women’s section, West Bengal came first with 31 points while MTNL, Mumbai finished second with nine points. Tultul Sinha (West Bengal) with 25 points was the individual champion in women’s section. — Principal Correspondent
