Businessman run over

NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old businessman was run over by a truck at Kashmere Gate here on Thursday. The erring driver has been arrested.

According to the police, the accident took place around 2 p.m. when the truck hit a scooter driven by Vir Sen Gupta while trying to overtake a mini-truck. The victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The police have arrested the truck driver, Zubair Khan.
