Singhal re-elected VHP president

BANGALORE: Ashok Singhal was re-elected president of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) at a meeting of the Central Board of Trustees here on Thursday.

A release from the organisation said that Mr. Singhal, who completed the full term of three years as president, had expressed his inability to continue in the position due to health reasons.

However, he was re-elected unanimously on Thursday.

Bowing to the wishes of the Trustees, Mr. Singhal accepted the responsibility, the release added.
