VSM for Army PRO

Colonel S.K. Sakhuja

NEW DELHI: Colonel (Dr.) S.K. Sakhuja, spokesperson and PRO of the Army, has been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for distinguished service. His role in the projection of the image of the Army under three Army Chiefs has been acknowledged. He specialises in crisis communications.

Colonel Sakhuja, who belongs to Haryana, had his early education at St. Patricks and Vivek Vardhani College in Hyderabad. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, he has acquired a doctorate in journalism. He has authored over 70 articles in various dailies and journals, many of them on media-military relations.
