Youth Congress activists take out protest march in Kochi

KOCHI: Youth Congress activists took out a march, raising slogans against Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran, in front of the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Commerce office here on Friday. They are demanding an investigation into the HMT land deal. The Minister was scheduled to inaugurate a seminar on the State’s land policy at the venue at 3 p.m. He was awaited till 5 p.m. when news came that he was leaving the city without participating in the meeting. The activists were planning to stage a demonstration in front of the Minister. Nearly 50 policemen were deployed in and around the venue.
