Manmohan attends Usha Narayanan’s funeral

NEW DELHI: A funeral service for Usha Narayanan, wife of the former President, K.R. Narayanan, was held at the Cathedral Church of Redemption here on Friday.

According to family sources, after the prayer meeting in the afternoon, the body was taken for burial to the Prithviraj Road Cemetery.

Among those who attended the funeral were Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Chief Justice of India K.G. Balakrishnan, United Progressive Alliance president Sonia Gandhi, Defence Minister A.K. Antony and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
