Donate for benefit of poor: Naidu

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that there was no service to society better than philanthropy.
Every citizen should set apart a portion of earnings for the benefit of the poor and underprivileged.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural on Sunday of the Aishwarya Bachchan School in Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, an initiative of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, he showered praise on Mr. Singh. The dais was shared by superstar Amitabh Bachchan among others. The school for girl students is located in a backward area.
Birthday wishes
Mr. Naidu wished Mr. Singh on his birthday and recalled that he had donated Rs. 50 lakh each for the Akshardham Temple in New Delhi and for educating poor students in Tirupati. He also praised Mr. Bachchan for his social service.
