Three killed in explosion

Ajmer: Three men were killed and two others, including a girl injured, were on Sunday killed in the district when explosives being used to deepen a well went off suddenly. Bhag Chand, Om Prakash and Sanwara were killed in Devpuri village of the district this morning when the explosives suddenly went off, Kishangarh Sub-divisional Magistrate Rajender Sarswat said. Blasting was being done under a scheme of SC Development Corporation and the gelatin sticks exploded suddenly when Ground Water Department employee S.M. Azam was checking them, he said.

Azam and a girl Indira were seriously injured in the blast, he said.

Rajasthan PHED Minister Sanwar Lal Jat reached the spot and promised the families of the deceased of all government help.
