Munger (Bihar): Thieves looted Rs.27 lakh from the main post office here on Sunday following which the authorities suspended 10 home guards, who were posted to guard the post office. Superintendent of Police of Munger, Shalin said that some thieves somehow managed to entered the post office in the wee hours of Sunday when the guards were asleep, broke open the locker and took away the money. I have also recommended that the home guards be dismissed, the SP said and suspected that they might have connived with the robbers in the burglary. Raids continued to recover the money and apprehend those involved in it, he added.
