Arrested on murder charge

DAVANGERE: Thimmappa (35), who allegedly murdered his wife, later set fire to her body in a bid to destroy evidence, at Sokke village in Jagalur taluk on Saturday. The police said he had stabbed her to death and later fearing police investigation, took the body to the terrace of his house and set it afire. Thimappa has been arrested and a case registered. — Staff Correspondent
