Belgaum: The Sri Ram Sena will launch a five-year-long campaign through the Akhil Bharat Gorakshana Dal against cow slaughter in Belgaum on February 10. Announcing this here on Sunday, Sena leader Pramod Muthalik said though the ban on cow slaughter is supported by legislative Act, the slaughter of cows continued, most of them in illegally run slaughter houses. The campaign is being launched with the twin objective of preventing slaughter of the cow on one hand and increasing awareness about medicinal value of cow dung and urine.
