BELLARY: Freedom fighter and former district judge I. Basavaraj (82) passed away here on Sunday after a brief illness. Mr. Basavaraj had actively participated in the Quit India Movement. He was also president of the District Freedom Fighters’ Association and recipient of the “Suvarna Karnataka Ekikarana” Award. He is survived by a son and two daughters. — Staff Correspondent
