PANAJI: Goa’s Movement Against SEZs (GMAS), an organisation which spearheaded an agitation against the special economic zone (SEZ) projects in Goa, on Sunday demanded that all land acquisition proceedings of all the SEZ projects be immediately dropped and the land allotted by State-owned Industrial Development Corporation be reverted. Matanhy Saldanha, leader of the GMAS, said that the State government, in pursuance of its decision to scrap all the SEZ projects acccording to the wishes of the people, should take the next logical step of taking back the lands that are in the possession of the promoters of the projects.
