Kidnapped boy recovered

Ludhiana: Seven-year-old school boy Deepu, who had been kidnapped here on January 21, was recovered from village Rasoolpur near river Satluj in the district on Sunday. All the eight members of the kidnap gang, mostly from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, including the kingpin Ranjit Chaursia have been arrested, Inspector General of Police (Zonal) Sanjiv Kalra told mediapersons here. While Chaurasia along with an accomplice was arrested in Delhi on Sunday morning, others were nabbed here, Mr. Kalra said. One of the kidnappers was an auto rickshaw driver living opposite the kidnapped boy’s house and had been keeping an eye on his movements.
