More funds for eco-restoration

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has given administrative sanction to the Attapady Hills Area Development Society for taking up an eco-restoration project at Attapady for Rs.10 crore. Local Self-Government Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty said in a release here on Sunday that the government had sanctioned Rs.20 crore for the project earlier this year. Additional funds were sanctioned as the project period had been extended up to 2010, he said. — Special Correspondent
