Universal Peace Day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government would observe Martyr’s Day as universal peace day with various programmes. The programmes to commemorate Gandhiji will begin with a prayer at Gandhi Park at 7 a.m. Floral tributes would be offered at the statue of Gandhiji. Education Minister M.A.Baby would inaugurate the public meeting. The programmes are being organised by the Information and Public Relations and Education departments, State Youth Welfare Board, Desiya Balatharangam, Gandhian Studies Centre of Kerala University and the City Corporation.
