2 hurt during economic blockade in Jharkhand

Dumka (Jharkhand): Two persons were seriously injured in a clash at Pindargaria village in Dumka district during the day-long “economic blockade” called by the Joint Adivasi Action Forum in protest against the November 24 Assam violence. The clash between the blockade supporters and the labour force at the crusher units broke out when the former asked them to down their shutters, according to Superintendent of Police Sidho Hembram. A labourer and a blockade supporter suffered injury in the clash. “Tension is prevailing, but situation is under control,” he said. — PTI
