Police Medal for SSB officers

NEW DELHI: One the eve of Republic Day, President Pratibha Patil conferred the President’s Police Medal for distinguished services on Inspector Generals Mukesh Sahay and H. C. Kharkwal of the Sashastra Seema Bal.

Ms. Patil also conferred the Indian Police Medal for meritorious service to ten other SSB officers and personnel including Inspector General Ratnakar Baral; Deputy Director V. K. Uniyal; Assistant Director N. Buragohain; Second-in-Command Hemraj Sharma; Sub-Area Organiser P. D. Nautiyal; Assistant Commandant D. P. Dhyani; Subedar Major Om Prakash Agarwal; Inspector Diljit Singh; Assistant Sonam Dolma and driver Phunchuk Angchuk.
