One killed as tanker hits motorcycle

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old woman was killed and a young man sustained injuries when a speeding tanker hit their motorcycle near Modi flyover in South Delhi on Sunday. The truck driver has been arrested.

According to the police, the accident took place around 10 a.m. when the gas tanker hit the motorcycle. While pillion rider Dharmwati died on the spot, the driver, identified as Deepak, escaped with injuries.

The erring driver, Suresh Saha, has been arrested by the Badarpur police on charges of causing death due to rash and negligent driving.
