Two robbers nabbed

NEW DELHI: Two of the three men who allegedly tried to rob a person were overpowered by area residents at Nandnagri on Saturday.

The incident took place around 5 p.m. on Saturday when Vineet Gupta was in the drawing room, whereas his brother Khushal and friend Amit were in another room. The culprits armed with weapons entered the house and robbed Vineet of a gold chain and some cash. Vineet raised an alarm, hearing which his brother, friend and neighbours rushed to his help and overpowered two of the robbers. They were handed over to the police and identified as Khurdesh and Ajay. According to the police, Khurdesh is a registered bad character of the area. In another case, the Bada Hindu Rao police have arrested a proclaimed offender, Nayeem Ahmed, in a theft case registered in 1997.
