Mobile phone store burgled

Miscreants struck at a mobile phone store in Jahanuma and made away with cash and mobile phones worth over Rs.2.60 lakh on Saturday night.

The offenders gained entry into Munawar mobile communications shop by making a hole from the rear side of the shop.

The incident came to light when shop owner Munawar opened it on Sunday morning only to find that the shop was burgled. Thieves escaped with Rs.60,000 and 125 mobile phones, according to the police.

Fire accident in lodge

A minor fire accident occurred in Padmaja lodge at Secunderabad railway station on Sunday. However, none was injured in the accident.

A fire tender was rushed to the spot after receiving a call around 5.30 p.m. and brought the situation under control. Fire originated from a chimney in the lodge.

Fake certificate racket busted

The city police on Sunday busted a fake certificates racket with the arrest of a person in this connection.

The police arrested the accused Mohammed Karrar Ali Khan at his house in Golconda.

A computer, scanner, colour printer and duplicate rubber stamps were also recovered from the possession of the Mohammed Karrar Ali Khan, the police said.
