SRINAGAR: The Opposition National Conference on Sunday took its tirade against two People’s Democratic Party Ministers to district headquarters, where thousands of its workers protested against the government and demanded their dismissal. The government, however, is contemplating recommending to the Speaker to adjourn the House sine die if the Opposition continued to disrupt the proceedings. After bringing the Assembly proceedings to a halt for six days, the National Conference on Sunday organised massive protest rallies in various district headquarters to press for their demand to sack two PDP Ministers Qazi Mohammad Afzal and Tariq Hameed Qarra, who according to them have been indicted by the Kundal Committee, which investigated the mess in Forest department. As the NC joined by the Panther’s Party disrupted the Assembly proceedings, the Speaker adjourned the House till Monday. According to reports received from Baramulla, Bandipore, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Budgam a large number of NC workers led by their leaders staged protest demonstrations demanding that these Ministers be sacked. Meanwhile the government indicated that the House may be adjourned sine die after completion of business if incase they the NC continued to disrupt the Assembly. Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig told The Hindu that the government would go ahead with the business. He reiterated that none of the Ministers was involved in the scam and NC was is raising hue and cry for deriving political mileage.
