Inter-school fest

TIRUPUR: JOSATS (St. Joseph’s Old Students’ Association of Tirupur) will organise a district level inter-school festival on February 1 to provide a platform to showcase talents of students. Japanese sewing machine major Pegasus will sponsor the event. According to organisers, students will be categorised into two: Standard VI to Standard VIII and Standard IX to Plus-Two. Oratory, painting, dance, quiz and singing competitions will be held. In order to promote social awareness and responsibility, students have been asked to submit a paper on local problem and their solution to it. A total of 50 students with nearly 1,000 students have registered to participate.
