Course in geriatric care

BANGALORE: National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, is conducting a six-month certificate course in Geriatric Care at the Nightingales Medical Trust, 337, 2nd Cross, 1st Block, RT Nagar. The course covers subjects such as social gerontology, basic geriatrics, applied geriatrics and geriatric nursing. Candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 600 a month during training. Candidates aged between 18 and 45 and who have passed SSLC may apply on or before January 31. Applications may be downloaded from the website: www.nisd.gov.in.
