Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Nagaraju (25), project associate, Indian Institute of Science, who was found dead on Saturday, was cremated in Bangalore on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the police, who have registered a case of unnatural death, said that they did not suspect any foul play.

Nagaraju, who allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, was cremated by his family members, who arrived from Cuddapah district, after the post-mortem was conducted at M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, police sources told The Hindu. The post-mortem report is expected in a couple of days.

Nagaraju’s father M.C. Venkatasubbaiah and mother Annapoorneshwari, who reside in Vadavelu village, Cuddapah district in Andhra Pradesh, arrived here on Sunday. Sources said that his father informed the police that Nagaraju had mentioned that he was unhappy with his remuneration.

According to Yeshwanthpur police, a note, which was found in his room, was in English and Telugu.

It said that he was dissatisfied because he was not getting a job based on his educational qualifications and he was not living up to his expectations at work.

Nagaraju had joined IISc as a research associate with a project in the Electrical Department.
