A mix of international and domestic cricketers will play at the floodlit Lal Bahadur Stadium in March HYDERABAD: For Indian Cricket League, the show has to go on. And as promised earlier, the second edition of the League, featuring a mix of the international and domestic cricketers, will be held at the floodlit Lal Bahadur Stadium in the city in the first week of March. And more importantly, before that the domestic ICL will be held at the same venue along with Chennai. Former India stars Kiran More and Bharath Reddy will be inspecting the venue along with a curator from South Africa to ensure that the desired playing conditions are in place. Meanwhile, official sources in the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh have confirmed that the terms and conditions for letting out the Stadium to ICL have been finalised. The venue will be let out for ICL for 45 days with SAAP being paid Rs. 1 lakh per day on all match days and on other days as per the Government Order – which is roughly about Rs. 10,000. Bharath Reddy informed The Hindu that the city would host the second half of the domestic league after it starts in Chennai on January 27. And the big League featuring the international stars will be held simultaneously in Hyderabad, Delhi and Chandigarh in March first week. What is more important for the Stadium administrators is the fact that ICL has decided to spend about Rs. 2.5 crore on renovation of the existing facilities.
