Body of female infant found

Krishnagiri: The body of a just born female infant was found in a pit at Jamberi near here on Monday. Passersby noticed the body, which was wrapped in a cloth and dumped in the pit. Following information, the police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem to the Krishnagiri Government Hospital. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
