PUDUCHERRY: The Steering and Monitoring Committee of the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Puducherry, on Monday urged the government to ensure that the Puducherry Adi Dravidar Development Corporation resumed issuing loans to eligible beneficiaries. Committee president N. Marimuthu told reporters here that the order issued by the Secretary (Adi Dravidar Welfare) had come in the way of disbursal of loans to the Dalits. He flayed the government for “diverting” the Special Component Plan funds for other projects. — Special Correspondent
