Aruppukottai to get reservation centre

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The Union Minister of State for Railways, R. Velu, has sanctioned a computerised railway reservation centre along with unreserved ticketing system for Aruppukottai railway station.

A communication from the Minister’s office sent to the secretary of Aruppukottai Chamber of Commerce, V. Manohar, said that the facilities had been sanctioned for the financial year 2007-08.

The chamber has been making repeated representation for this facility for the past two years. It had also represented it to the Sivakasi MP, A. Ravichandran, the General Manager of Southern Railway and other officials.
