Labhu Ram is Chitradurga SP

Staff Correspondent

Labhu Ram

Chitradurga: Superintendent of Police Labhu Ram has said that ensuring an effective administration and maintenance of law and order will be the priority of the Police Department here.

Speaking to presspersons after assuming charge on Monday, Mr. Ram said that he did not have much exposure to the district, but he would get to know about it from his subordinates.

Challenging experience

Having served earlier as Additional Superintendent of Police, Mangalore, he said his experience there was challenging as the district was communally sensitive. The police had a tough time curbing a few incidents of communal violence, but managed to avoid major untoward incidents and large-scale damage, he added.

Earlier, outgoing Superintendent of Police B. Shivakumar, who has been transferred to Bangalore as Superintendent of Police (Railway Police), congratulated Mr. Ram on his new assignment and promised him all help towards maintaining law and order.
