Students protest against increase in fee

Chitradurga: In two separate protests here on Monday, members of the district units of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) held rallies opposing the increase in fee for diploma examinations. In separate memorandums submitted to Deputy Commissioner Amlan Aditya Biswas, they condemned the fee increase from Rs. 175 to Rs. 350, which they termed unfair to poor students. They said several poor students would find it difficult to pay the fee.
