A trick to avoid transfers
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: Primary school teachers seem to be trying a new trick to avoid transfers. A huge number – as many as 1,300 in the latest round of recruitments of about 4,000 – had tried to avoid moving out of their place of employment on transfers by taking the recruitment test anew and getting a posting in a place of their preference.
Commissioner of Public Instruction Kumar Naik said that the government had now made it mandatory for everyone employed with the department to take permission before applying any competitive exam.
