The students of Sreenidhi International School were taken to watch “Portofino – Ballade” a Swiss Puppet Show, at Vidya Ranya School. The show was organised by the Goethe Zentrum, Hyderabad.Students thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the renowned Swiss artist Mr. Peter Rinderknecht, his enchanting puppets and the unique setting of the story in the viola. Sreenidhi International School celebrated its first annual Sports Day on January 26 on its sprawling 50-acre campus. The Chief Guest Dr. P.G. Shastri, the Dean - Administration and Academics at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology and the Principal, Mr.V. Srinivasan hoisted the National Flag at the amphitheatre to start the Republic Day celebrations. Soon after, the scene shifted to the school’s sports field where students were eager to start the annual sports meet.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Golconda

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Golconda hosted the prestigious 20th National Youth Parliament competition (Zonal level). The teams from KV AFS Bidar from Bangalore region, KV I, Calicut from Chennai and KV2 Golconda representing Hyderabad regions participated in the competition with impressive enactment of parliamentary proceedings.

The competition was adjudged by Baddam Bal Reddy, ex-MLA, D.K.Saini, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, New Delhi and Bhoj Raj, Under Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, New Delhi.

K.V. Kanchanbagh

K.V. Kanchanbagh organised a book exhibition to inculcate reading habits among children last week.

A host of leading publishers including Oxford University Press, The Hindu, Visalandhra Book House, Neelkamal Publications, Book Search Publications displayed their collection of books. A special discount price was offered for the students. Along with the book exhibition, drawing and painting exhibitions on national adolescent education programmes and career guidance exhibition were organised. The career guidance exhibition showcased different career opportunities and how to go about them.The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal of Defence Laboratories School, Kanchanbagh, G.S.Naidu.

Gitanjali Devashray

The Pre-Primary section of Gitanjali Devashray organised an Intra-school musical melody programme recently. The children of PP2 of Gitanjali Primary school, Gitanjali Devshala and Gitanjali Devashray sung English and Hindi melodies.

Jubilee Hills Public School

Jubilee Hills Public School organised Sadguru Tyagaraja Aradhanotsava at its school premises on Sunday. “It is essential to inculcate respect for Indian classical music and culture and promote it among the present generation of students. It plays a vital role in the overall development of a child,” said Principal T.Sudha. The programme commenced with ‘Nagara Sankeertana’, a procession of singers going round the school premises singing bhajans and songs.

The participants took part in ‘Goshti Ganam’- the recital of Pancha Ratna keertanas.

Parents, students besides Jubilee Hills Education Society president K. Styanarayana, JHPS Chairman A. Murali Mukund and other members attended.
