Advani’s ‘sankalp yatra’ from February 6

NEW DELHI: Beginning February 6, Leader of the Opposition L.K. Advani will address district-level BJP rallies throughout the country.

The Advani tour, which will not be continuous, has nevertheless been described as a ‘sankalp yatra’, similar to the name given to the national council meeting venue here ‘Vijay Sankalp’, a pledge to bring victory to the BJP.

Mr. Advani will begin his ‘yatra’ with a visit to Jabalpur on February 6. In February and March, he will cover 6-8 districts ending with a rally in Jammu on March 23. He would cover the entire country over the 15 months before the Lok Sabha polls, party leaders said here on Monday.

The BJP is also planning to cash in on reservation in party posts for women, holding a women’s rally here on February 21.
