Jet Airways suffers Rs. 91 cr. loss
CHENNAI: Jet Airways has suffered a loss of Rs. 91.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 against a profit of Rs. 40.04 crore in the same period in the previous year. Total income has risen to Rs. 2,517.18 crore from Rs. 1,969.69 crore. According to a release, the accumulated loss of the then Sahara Airlines had exceeded the networth as on the date of acquisition. However, there was a reduction in operating losses subsequent to the acquisition. The high fuel prices had an impact of $15.5 million as compared to the second quarter. — Corporate Reporter
