Adelaide: Paceman Rudra Pratap Singh will be flying back to India ahead of the triangular ODI competition featuring Australia, India and Sri Lanka. The left-armer injured his hamstring during the fourth and final Test that concluded here on Monday. The tri-series begins in Brisbane on February 3 with India meeting Australia in a day-night match. R.P. Singh is likely to be replaced by Munaf Patel in the squad. The bowler suffered the injury while landing his front foot late on day two. Big blowHis absence will be a blow to India since the paceman can swing the ball at a lively pace. The left-arm bowler has been consistently bringing the ball into the right-hander or surprising the batsmen with the bounce he can extract from a strong wrist position. India team physio John Gloster told The Hindu that Rahul Dravid would require at least two weeks to recover from a broken middle-finger. The injury was sustained when Dravid attempted to negotiate a short-pitched delivery from Aussie spearhead Brett Lee on the final day here. “The crack is not very big and he should be all right soon. But the injury should be given time to heal,” said Gloster.
