THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city police have stepped up patrolling in Attukal and adjoining places in view of the clashes that took place between two groups in Attukal ground on Sunday night. A police team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Fort, has been posted in the locality to prevent further violence. According to the police, normalcy has been restored in the area. Two youths, Deepak, 22, and Sunil Kumar, 21, were injured in the clashes that took place around 8.45 p.m. between the residents of Padaserry and those staying in M.S.K. Nagar, police said. The duo is undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital. The Fort police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
