JIPMER gears up for ESPOIR

PUDUCHERRY: The stage has been set for ‘ESPOIR’, the annual postgraduation cultural extravaganza at the Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). The event is slated to be held on January 31 at 6.30 p.m.

Lister Square has already been spruced up for the programme. “This is one day when one usually finds the busy doctors letting their hair down, and allowing the spirit of fun and joy to take over,” a JIPMER release says.

White coats would be replaced by fancy costumes, and the stethoscope would make way for mikes and guitars. Professors and medicos would perform together on the same stage.
