NAMAKKAL: Farmers cultivating sugarcane staged a demonstration in front of Salem Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited in Mohanur recently in protest against the delay in the distribution of amount for the procurement of sugarcane.

Mohanur Union Councillor K. Chandiramohan led the protest. Peramandampalayam panchayat president A.S. Nallasamy and River Irrigation Farmers Protection Association president K. Balasubramaniam spoke.
