Train services disrupted

KANCHEEPURAM: Train services on Arakonam-Chengalpattu section were disrupted for more than an hour on Tuesday morning owing to a ‘crack’ on the track near Thevariyambakkam.

According to sources, a Thevariyambakkam resident noticed a crack on the track at 7.45 a.m. when the Thirumalpur-Chennai Beach EMU was about to pass through the village. He stopped the train by waving a piece of red cloth. Subsequently, the track was set right and the service resumed. — Staff Reporter
