NABARD seeks NGOs’ support

HYDERABAD: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) will welcome non-governmental organisations’ partners to extend their reach into newer activities, wherever feasible, according to S.R. Aluru, chief general manager.

Presiding over an interactive meet with NGOs here on Tuesday, he said with increasing role of the bank in rural development NGOs’ support would be critical in the years to come.

Their partnership could change the lives of the rural masses.

R. Amalorpavanathan, general manager, senior officials of the bank and representatives of 30 NGOs from districts attended the meet. It was intended to familiarise NGOs with the bank’s interventions and its expanding activities, a press release said.

Officials made presentations on several schemes.
