HPCL offers fixed fuel price option to RTC
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd has offered a fixed price option for high speed diesel to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.
This was announced by HPCL’s Deputy General Manager (Commercial) K.V. Krishna Rao at a function organised to mark the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight here on Tuesday evening.
Mr. Rao said HPCL was the first to introduce such a product and was the only oil company in the country doing so. Companies which had already taken this option include Saint Gobain in Chennai and Ispat Industries, Mumbai, he said.
Asked about the quantum of price quoted to the APSRTC, he said he had just made the offer and that once the negotiations were taken forward with the corporation, they would narrow down and firm up the pricing and duration options.
