Call for an impartial probe

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister, Sudhir Mahto has demanded an impartial probe into the gunning down of Abhijit Mahto, a day after he submitted his thesis to the university authorities in the US. Mr. Mahto told newsmen here that he felt that there was a “deep conspiracy” behind the killing of the meritorious student from Jharkhand.

Abhijit, a 29-year-old second year PHD (Engineering) student in Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering,US, was found lying in a pool of blood at his Anderson Street apartment on January 19. - PTI
