This Day That Age
Mr. David Owen, Executive Chairman of the United Nations Technical Assistance Board, told a press conference in New Delhi that it had been decided by the United Nations to extend the scope of the present technical assistance programme by establishing a special project fund to prepare the way for capital development in the economically less developed countries in the world. In this connection, Mr. Owen said, he had talks with Prime Minister Nehru and the Union Ministers for Finance, Commerce and Industry, Labour and Planning and Health as well as the Minister for Defence.
