This Day That Age
The Government has approved an integrated three-year scheme for an all-India soil and land-use survey. The aim is to formulate a policy for all phases of soil survey and cartographic work, including standardisation of methods and procedures for improvement. The central office for the survey has been set up at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Regional centres will be established at Delhi, Kharagpur, Nagpur and Bangalore.
