SAIL announces 19 p.c. interim

NEW DELHI: Steel Authority of India (SAIL) on Tuesday reported a record third-quarter net profit after tax of Rs. 1,935 crore in October-December 2007, up 32 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year. The sales turnover rose by 11.4 per cent as compared to the same period in the previous year to Rs. 10,756 crore. The company has declared an interim dividend at the enhanced rate of 19 per cent. — Special Correspondent
