SKVC, PSG men in last four

THRISSUR: Host Sree Kerala Varma College and Coimbatore’s PSG Arts and Science College entered the men’s semifinals of the second Geonair Trophy all-India inter-collegiate basketball tournament at the NDS Stadium here on Tuesday.

Also making the last-four grade were Thiruvananthapuram’s Mar Ivanios and Changanassery’s St. Berchman’s.

Assumption meets St. Mary’s

In the women’s section, Changanassery’s Assumption will meet Thrissur’s St. Mary’s in the league decider on Wednesday.

The first V.T. Thomas Vadakkal Trophy all-Kerala inter-collegiate basketball tournament, organised by the Udyogamandal Basketball Club, will be held at the Udyogamandal court, Eloor, on February 2 and 3.

Thiruvananthapuram’s Mar Ivanios, Changanassery’s St. Berchmans, Kottayam’s Baselious and Thrissur’s Sree Kerala Varma will be some of the teams which will figure in the men’s event.

A women’s exhibition game, featuring Thiruvananthapuram’s KSEB and St Xavier’s College, Aluva, will also be held during the event.
